That is very cool. It feels a bit like “PANIC”. But your actually using the whole deck. I don’t want to say much more in case I am close to the actually giving away how the effect works. Very magical looking Aaron.

Excellent feel to your new effect. Love the focus at the end for the joker. “Heck, it’s a magic show…” Love it.

Way cool Aaron! I know your propensity to name your creations after some of your favorite bands, such as Panic. After watching this video, I began to wonder if the inspiration came from a stack of Miami Sound Machine vinyl in your closet? LOL at myself, I couldn’t resist! Very nice effects…as usual, you ROCK!

Very cool effect. I am wondering how difficult this one is to perform, or is it as easy to “master” as PANIC? I love the effect, regardless.

In some ways it’s easier – you don’t have to hold the cards so careful! It’s actually the perfect trick to follow up panic with – since panic establishes, and even switches, the deck!

Very clean and straight forward effect. I like it.

After seeing the video… well, I love the color-changing deck effect, no matter what form it’s in. I certainly like the idea here, because although this appears to draw heavily on Vernon’s Color Changing Deck routine, this version also looks like it eliminates one of the few “flaws” of Vernon’s.

I too suspect a similarity to PANIC… but I’m really curious to compare to HELTER SKELTER. Since you’ve already released a nice color-changing deck effect, and seem pretty conservative about what you release, I’m eager to learn what is presumably an even better one.

Hi Aaron,

At the start (before you remove any cards) can you show the deck as being a blue backed deck (at least the top card of the deck)?
Thank you,
- Bill

Absolutely. Aaron has informed me that shortly after release, he’ll share his method for this in a simple tutorial. Most of the time Aaron performs this effect after doing many effects with the deck, so the audience is already well aware of the color of the cards. Great Question!

Way to go, Aaron. That’s a strong color-changing deck effect. I’m sure it causes gasps of disbelief!

Love this effect. Cant wait to get it. Is their a dvd tutorial with it. I too likened it to panic. Nearly missed out on panic until it was rereleased. Wont miss out on this one. Will be purchasing when it is released

I just purchased “Machine”. Can’t wait to get the cards in my hands. I just re-watched the demo trailer and “WOW”. It is even better than I remembered. I fools me even though I think I understand what is going on (not how the gimmicks work) because the show after the color change is so fair and above board. This does not “feel” like an effect that uses gimmicks. It feels like…something magical just happened. Great job Aaron! Your magic ROCKS! ;)

Question! Do you think it is too much to have “Red Hot Mama” in the same set as “Machine”? I always do “Red Hot Mama” in my performances. It has been a staple effect for me since the 70′s. Since a card turns Red during the effect do you think this would be a bad thing or an interesting lead in to “Machine” which would be performed later in the set? Just curious. The two would not be performed together. But they would most likely be performed in the same close up show. Thanks for your input.

I just received my Machine cards today. What a great presentational package they come in. I really felt like I was getting something special. Not just a couple of card gimmicks sent in an envelope. Thanks Aaron for making even something as simple as a few loose card gimmicks feel special. Now onto learning the meat of the effect and blowing some minds. Thanks again Aaron.
